From a very young age I knew I wanted to work with children it was always a passion of mine, upon leaving school I enrolled onto a YTS scheme equivalent of what is now known as an apprenticeship. I completed my NVQ level 2 and level 3 in childcare at a nursery in Southsea and was lucky enough to be employed full time once I’d completed these, I workEd there for 10 years and gained a wealth of experience working with children from birth to 5 whilst In the meantime having my first child which in itself gave me even more experience on a personal level. From there I moved on to take over as manager of a preschool, a role I continued doing for 19 years, still learning and loving making a difference to children's lives along with having another 2 children of my own, my passion for childcare has never left me! I am now the manager of Top tots Hilsea and continue to love the job I'm in. Working with children is one of the most rewarding and exciting things I have done and I look forward to many more years doing what I love the most.
