I used to go to work with my Mum in a pre-school on inset days when I was at school, and really enjoyed myself. After not really being sure what I wanted to do at college found myself completing a level 3 in Early Years Education and I'm still here doing what I love 20 odd years later!

I am enthusiastic about child development, understanding why a child does something or behaves in a particular way - what makes them tick, the order in which children learn new skills and the theories behind child development.

I have a passion for sharing my knowledge and supporting others to learn and develop their skills, I think that's why I was keen to become a manager. I love to coach and mentor a team. Because of this passion I completed training to assess and teach post 16 education. Training and development is important to me and I like to read and keep up to date with the latest information and trends in early years.

I love working in a fort! Its an interesting environment for an early years setting and keeps us evaluating what we offer and how we can utilise the space to create inspiring learning environments.
